Radiator Valves – 1/2″ BSP Connection

Connection:

These valves have a 1/2″ BSP radiator connection, making them compatible with all radiators and towel rails in the UK. The other important connection to consider is the pipework. These valves are designed for 10mm microbore pipework, which is common in many homes. If you have standard 15mm or smaller 8mm microbore pipework, we also offer these valves in 15mm and 8mm sizes to accommodate different pipe types.

Fitting Type:

Corner valves provide a 90-degree connection, similar to angled valves, but with different pipework placement options:

• Pipework comes out of the wall, and the radiator connection is on the side.
• Pipework comes out of the wall and the radiator has connections at the bottom.
• Pipework comes out from the wall and bends up; the radiator connection is on the side. In this case, we recommend angled radiator valves, as the valve will protrude in front of the radiator.

All of our corner radiator valves come with matching lockshield valves to be fitted on the return side of the radiator or towel rail.

Control Type:

Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) provide multi-temperature control of your radiators, helping save energy and money. These valves feature a liquid sensor mechanism that shuts off the flow of hot water to the radiator when the room temperature reaches the desired level, which you set using the dial on the TRV head. All of our TRVs come with a frost protection mode, which automatically opens the valve slightly if the room temperature drops below a certain level, protecting your heating system, radiator, and pipes from damage caused by frozen water.
